Clark Hall Iron Doors

Changing the Opening

Most often we are replacing a single door and sidelights with double doors, without disturbing the masonry or framing. Typically, the old door unit is removed and a new door unit with the same shape of the opening is inserted.

However, this home's lBefore - This entry has awkward little sidelightsittle sidelights were awkward and weren't in keeping with the rest of the home. It wasn't possible to utilize the existing opening and achieve the desired look.

Double doors that would let in more light best served this home. The existing door and sidelights were removed.

Framing was adjusted to accommodate a larger eyebrow shaped double door and the brick exterior was modified.

The result is worth the extra effort that went into this project.
